There are many factors that people consider when choosing a watch. Among this is water resistance. Different watches have different levels to which they can sustain the depth of water. Water resistance is a major feature required for sports watches especially the water sports such as diving, swimming and the like. However, you can choose a water resistant watch o be on the safe side in case it comes into contact with water.
Depth ratings for the amount of water-resistance vary from about 30 meters to 1000 meters and more. The point to remember is that the rating determination is done under controlled conditions in a test lab and rarely reflects the real world. For example, in a lab, the watch isn’t being moved or bumped, nor is the water temperature varied.
A depth rating of less than 100 meters means the watch can be worn in the rain, or will be okay if water splashes on it . Ratings greater than 100 but less than 200 meters mean the watch can be used when swimming or for shallow dives, like snorkeling. For scuba diving one needs a rating of 200 meters or greater. For deep diving, including everything from technical to commercial or saturation diving, the depth rating should be at the high end and mostly to an appropriate ISO Standard.
Water resistance is not the only feature to look out for in a sports watch. You also need to consider the material which should be stainless steel or titanium if the watch is specially for diving. The design should not be too heavy and bulky and should also compliment your wrist.

comfortable on their wrist. A watch strap has to be comfortable and this is through having a well fitting band i.e it should not be too loose or too tight. Most manufacturers offer straps in different lengths so as to accommodate the size of any standard wrist. Designers such as Michael Kors and Gucci offer various bands that match their watch cases.

TAG Heuer loves sailing, racing or any other outdoor activity that involves sporting. At first glance, the Kirium F1 appears to be overly simplified, attractive, of course, but simple. In reality, it offers seven functions; both analog and digital time displays, 1/100th of a second chronograph, countdown, daily and diary alarm, perpetual calendar, second time zone, and dial back-light. It also features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal surrounded by a stainless-steel case with a black rubber strap. It’s water resistant down to 200 meters.
